While we all wait for GrandSlambert to get back to the grind of this project, I wanted to share what I have been building for my site. It is not a live site, I am waiting for a few bugs and upcoming features of the RP plugin (and possibly WP 3!) before I am ready, so this is still a work in progress.

Very nice Justin. Some bugs in your theme (or things you haven't fully developed yet, or could be a plug in issue). When I went to print a recipe using the "print" icon, it just reloaded the page.
I haven't dared to update to SVN of WP. I have too many production sites and on my blogs, I run a plugin to allow for multiple blogs to run off a single WP install and from what I've read, this is being built into WP now. No, I'm not currently running WPMU.
I definitely will be happy if I could ever get the permalink structure working like you use on your site. I'm at a standstill until that issue is fixed for me.

Yes, "print" was something to come in a future update of recipe press. I just placed the link there as a mock-up for now.
I wish I could help you with the permalinks, I remember the thread about it a while back. My best guess is somewhere else in your configuration of wordpress/recipe press/domain that is causing the issue - but I am not expert, learning as I go here :)
I'm using permalinks in http://SingleRecipes.com and http://FitnessHealtPlan.com with Recipe Press. I've not see any problems. I'm a newbie too, what do I need to be looking for to give me a problem? I have been trying to solve the problem with wp-print but no luck. I'm learning as I go too. I would like to know more about the name of the plugin that will let you run multiple blogs off a single WP install?

The problems I am having with my permalinks could be with how my server is set up, I don't know. I started with a vanilla WP install. The blog that I'm running recipe press on is NOT running the multiblog plugin I will post the link for. WP-Print is simple to use. You install the plugin and then you will have to actually modify some theme files and put some code in. Granted, every time the author of the theme updates the theme, you will have to readd the alterations. It's something minor, but it's an excellent plugin.

Pauline, At http://SingleRecipes.com , I'm using permalinks on ingredients, recipes and the whole website. I tried to look at your site but could not get past the login. What is yours doing or not doing?

Thanks Sheila, I had know idea about the login thing. I fixed it now.
My problem is at the ingredient link.
At this recipe, if I click on all purpose flour, which I created a page and it's published, it says "Sorry, we could not find the all-purpose-flour recipe in our records.", but if I click on red onions, a page in draft mode, it finds the recipes with this ingredient.
I just tested again I get these results using firefox, when I tried with safari, I get a 404 not found on the pending/draft page.
Pauline, This is one for the author. Can't find a short code to list Ingredients. You are going to have to one to make it easy. When adding the new recipe for Fried Bananas on http://SimpleRecipes.com, the Ingredients are not added to the Ingredients list until you publish the recipe. All so, I turn off my Super Cache Plugin when I add or delete recipes. This makes for cleaner updates.

Hi, I figured out a way to make my ingredients permalinks to work. I changed the structure from: /Receitas/Ingredientes/<ingredient-name> to: Ingredientes/<ingredient-name>.
It seems that the [recipe-ingredients] shortcode only works up to the second level of the page and not on the third. Then I created a [ingredient-list] shortcode, so I won't have an empty page.
This is a long 7th inning stretch...

Indeed, I sent an email to GrandSlambert a few days ago but yet to hear a response. I have kept developing my site in hopes this project gets back on track, hopefully he comes around soon.

Justin, you may benefit from enabling gzip compression on your site.
It's a form of compression that the web server (apache, IIS, etc.) performs automatically (not to be confused with caching).
With gzip enabled, your web server sends a zip file (essentialy) of your web page's contents (and text compresses very well), so instead of having to send 15,329 bytes (as reported by ismyblogworking.com) it would send a fraction of that (which means, I'd receive it faster, and your server wouldn't have to send as much data, reducing bandwidth (potentially reducing costs)).
I apologize for my long term absence both from these forums and from plugin development. A new job, school, and purchasing a house for my family all got in the way of what I really wanted to be doing. Development will continue but at a much slower pace than what occurred earlier this year. I am hoping to release an update after this weekend, so long as life doesn't kick me in the rear end again.
