   It has been a long time coming, but the latest version of the Login Configurator plugin is now available. Version 1.0, the first official release, includes two great new features:

   • Now you can select to protect your site feed or leave it unprotected with an option in the settings page.
   • Whitelist function added - include a list of URLs on your site that you want the configurator to ignore.

   Visit the official page or the Wordpress Plugin directory to get the latest version. If you already have this plugin installed, you will be able to update on your sites administration page.

   I tried sending this through your contact form, but it got stuck on "One moment please..."

   I have been searching and searching a way to do what I want and I think just your one plugin will do the trick (vs. 2 or 3). Correct me if I'm wrong. I am making small website (essentially a members only) for my wife so she can upload/store/share her recipes. We will be allowing friends/family to register and view the recipes. I want to make it so that ONLY registered people can view posts (I like your option to view the home page while making posts available after you log in). Before I had set up using a member access plugin and then making the login page the home page...using theme my login. This worked well except that if I clicked on the logo, instead of taking me to the recipes home page, I'd go back to the login page, even if I'm already logged in. So I want the login page just once...

   Anyhow, I'm pretty sure your plugin will do exactly what I want...except, I can't get it to install. I get this error:

   Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /srv/www/web37/web/wp-content/plugins/login-configurator/login-configurator.php on line 228

   I do have a number of other plugins installed and I am using WPMU 2.8.1.

   If you can point me in the right direction that would be most helpful.

   Can you tell me a bit about your server, most importantly which version of PHP you are running? I am not able to duplicate the error. I do know that the plugin works with WPMU as it was originally designed for that.

   Hi, thanks for replying. I also have tried disabling all plugins and still got the error...As for server info:

   # Operating System : Linux
   # Server : Apache/2.2.4 (Linux/SUSE)
   # Memory usage : 22.82 MByte
   # MYSQL Version : 5.0.51a
   # SQL Mode : Not set
   # PHP Version : 5.2.8
   # PHP Safe Mode : Off

   That is very interesting it is giving you that error. You basically have the exact same setup I have on my development server and it works well for me. I also just tested it on a fresh install of WordPress MU 2.8.2 and it installed perfectly alongside BuddyPress and several other plugins. I will look at the code some tonight to see if I can find what might be causing the problem and let you know what I find out.

   Hmmm...I just had a thought that it might be due to the theme, but on another blog, that uses the default theme, it throws the same error.

   Maybe because I have other login plugins in the folder? Or in the database?

   Just tried 2 other MU installs and get the same error. After lunch, I'll try to install it on my local set up and see how that goes...

   Well, it installed locally (Mac OS 10.5.7) with WPMU 2.8.1 and Buddy Press 1.0.2...so I'm not sure why it won't install on any of my other 3 live WPMU sites...

   Are all three of these live sites on the same server? It almost sounds like a PHP version issue but I do not know why that would be. What version of PHP did you have installed on your local machine?

    found the fix

    I had the same problem running wp 2.8.4 on wamp server, apache 2.2.11, php 5.2.9-2

    inside login-configurator.php

    line 66 should be <?php
    not <?
