Today I released version 0.9 of the Better RSS widget which adds a shortcode to the plugin allowing you to embed feeds into you plugins and posts. The shortcode is [better-rss] and requires a feed="url" option. More Information.

I have a question please:
Know that I have to use the short code brackets.
Could you please give me some examples of usage? Understand that I can set them at the options page, but want to have different options on some post.
Possible to give me a few examples using:
* items: indicates how many articles to include, defaults to 10.
* show_author: whether or not to display the author, can be either 0 or 1.
* show_date: whether or not to display the date, can be either 0 or 1.
* show_time: whether or not to display the time, can be either 0 or 1.
* show_summary: whether or not to display a summary of the article, can be either 0 or 1.
* target: specifies a link target other than the default setting.
* cache_duration: number of seconds to cache RSS feed results.

Hi I tried the shortcode on a post but I get this error.

RSS-error: file_get_contents could not read the file
Could it be my W3 Total Cache or another plugin that is interfering?
Make sure to include the http: in front of the URL - that is required. It looks as if you may have left that out of the shortcode.
